Jadi Imaging Holdings Berhad – JADI (7223) develops, formulates and manufactures toners for photocopiers and laser printers. Headquartered in Selangor, Malaysia is an independent world-class toner manufacturer and exports over 90% of its products to over 50 countries worldwide.
Jadi Imaging Technologies Sdn Bhd had its beginnings in 1993 when founder, Mr. KS Liew, formed a joint venture to manufacture toners. The company, Technitone (M) Sdn. Bhd (Technitone), started production of photocopier toner with a production line and annual production capacity of 500 metric tons (MT) in its plant in the Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. The factory was equipped with the most advanced state-of-the-the art equipment quality control and research and development (R & D) facilities and a pilot production plant to develop new products.
When the joint venture partner decided to exit the toner manufacturing business in 1999, Mr Liew incorporated Jadi to acquire all assets Technitone and take over the company. After the acquisition, the more sophisticated second production line with higher production capacity was added in July 2002 and concentrated mainly in the production of laser printer toner, thereby increasing the production capacity of the company at 1750 MT. To meet the overwhelming demand world wide for the toners of the company, the production capacity increased again in July 2004 to 3000 MT when a third production line was put into production. At the same time, also began Jadi R & D in full color laser toners with plans to begin production in 2007.
