Firefly Airline Malaysia started on 3 April 2007, Firefly, your community airline, is operated under FlyFirefly Sdn Bhd, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysian Airline System Berhad. Operating in our centers in Penang and Subang, Firefly provides new and exclusive routes to various points within peninsular Malaysia, southern Thailand and Sumatra of Indonesia, siding with the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMTGT ) of the program. Subang be the new place of congregation renovated business and leisure travelers, is the perfect point of contact for new and experienced travelers alike.
From our hub in Subang, we connect our passengers to Penang, Kuala Terengganu, Kerteh, Kota Bharu, Alor Setar, Langkawi and Johor Bahru in Malaysia. In Thailand, we flew to Koh Samui and in Indonesia, flew to Medan, Banda Aceh, Pekan Baru and Batam. Penang, Malaysia Firefly is connected in the northern state of Phuket in Thailand, Banda Aceh and Medan in Indonesia, Subang and Langkawi, in the Peninsula. Firefly has also started its new route to Singapore from Subang, Ipoh, K. Terengganu, Kuantan.
Our aim is to bring communities closer by overcoming geographical constraints, link the world to the communities we serve, and contribute to the economy of the communities by bringing trade and tourism.
In essence, the Firefly is aimed at bringing together the communities not only for Malaysians but also for travelers to visit either of our neighboring countries and throughout the region.
